Here is our first DIYRs reply.
Phil purchased the product off my ebay sight and did the install.
This job was well planned and nicely done.
Kudos Phil!
The Ditra Phil purchased was bought at the lowest price on the net.
From my observation it looks properly installed.Ditra is very easy to work with.
Follow the directions included in your package and you cannot go wrong.
Almost done!
Job well done Phil!
Thank you, Phil.
The first step was to mark and cut out the board with a skilsaw. Pics 1-2

I then use a variety of tools including a pry bar to dig the damaged piece out. If you notice I cut far enough from the edge of the surrounding floor so when I pry against the cut edge I will take chances of damaging good wood. I normally will cut about 1 inch from all my edges.
Glue application will come after all the old wood has been removed and the area clean of any sawdust or wood shavings.
Resetting the boards will require the bottom of the groove on your final piece be removed.
A good cleaning with some mineral spirts....
How does it look to you?
How about this one done by our local pro Eddie Mata.
